Titan Infra Energy Group targets to increase coal production by 19 million-20 million tons this year, which is an increase of 42.8 percent compared to last year. To achieve this target, PT Titan Infra Energy has inaugurated the 1D Upgrade Phase 1 project at the port owned by its subsidiary, namely PT Swarnadwipa Dermaga Jaya (SDJ) in Penukal Abab Lematang Ilir, South Sumatra on 15 February 2023.
Improving Port Facilities
According to the President Director of PT Titan Infra Energy, Darwan Siregar, the Phase 1D project is carried out to develop existing port facilities so that they can support a production target of 20 million tons per year. SDJ will continue to be developed in accordance with the magnitude of market demand. SDJ Port has had a special coal transportation lane since 2015 which is managed by its subsidiary PT Servo Lintas Raya. On this 120 km long route from the mouth of the mine to the stockpile in the river, there are 15 mining companies that use the infrastructure services.
Barges are the most efficient and sustainable means of transportation for transporting large quantities of coal. Compared to large ships, barges have a large loading capacity, so they can transport more coal in one voyage. This of course can help companies save costs and increase productivity.
Barges are also more environmentally friendly than large ships. Barges have a lower carbon footprint, thereby reducing the negative impact on the environment. By choosing barges as the main means of coal transportation, the company has contributed to maintaining environmental sustainability.
Titan Infra Energy’s barge is equipped with PT Swarnadwipa Dermaga Jaya port facilities. This port facility facilitates the process of loading and unloading coal. The company ensures that the entire coal transportation process is carried out safely, quickly and efficiently. This certainly can provide benefits in increasing the efficiency and productivity of coal production.
Titan Infra Energy’s New Coal Production Target
This year, Titan Infra Energy has new targets that must be achieved according to the tagline “New Year, New Target and New Story.” One of the targets is to increase the amount of production, especially after the inauguration of the new phase of the project. In addition, Handoko A. Tanuadji, Chairman of the Titan Group, also wishes that PT Servo Lintas Raya (SLR) and PT Swarnadwipa Dermaga Jaya (SDJ) can take the floor on the capital market or become public companies (go public) at the right time.
Steps Toward Initial Public Offering (IPO)
Titan Group Compliance Head, Eddy Rizal Umar, added that they are optimistic that the initial public offering (IPO) of Titan Group’s subsidiaries can be realized in the second or third quarter of this year. Currently, his party has appointed a consultant (financial advisor) related to the corporate action plan.
Titan Infra Energy plans to increase coal production by 19 million-20 million tons this year by upgrading the SDJ port. This project is carried out to develop port facilities in order to support a larger production target. Titan Infra Energy has new targets this year, including increasing production and steps towards an initial public offering (IPO) for its subsidiary. Hopefully with the support of all parties, these targets can be achieved and have a positive impact on the company.
